Good Morning Neighbor,
First off, the obvious. Today marks 25 years since September 11th. Thousands of lives were lost that day, and countless others were changed forever. Take a moment today to remember those we lost, their families, and everyone whose life was forever affected.
On a much more positive note, this is your last chance to register for our 2nd dinner club, which is in Carrollwood this month. There is more info below. I hope to you see you there, if the location works!
Other than that, the lightning sure is a great show but I’ve had enough of it, maybe you feel the same. For now, the Atlantic is quiet!

Highlights
TPA’s Familiar Shuttles Get an Upgrade
Tampa International Airport has rolled out brand-new shuttle cars serving Airsides A and C. The upgraded people-movers come with better lighting, video information screens and doors that can detect obstacles, replacing shuttles that had been running since the 1990s.
More upgrades are on the way. Airside E is expected to get the same improvements later this year, new cars have been ordered for Airside D, and Airside F is also slated for new shuttles in the future.

More Pasco Families Can Get Storm Help
More Pasco County homeowners can now qualify for help repairing, rebuilding or replacing homes damaged by Hurricanes Idalia, Helene or Milton. The county expanded eligibility for its Better Future program to households earning up to 120% of the area median income. That means up to $96,360 for one person or $137,640 for a family of four.
The program has already approved 459 applications and provided nearly $6 million in assistance. If your home was damaged by one of those storms, you can check eligibility and learn how to apply through Pasco County’s Better Future program.
Ray Jay Could Get Quite the Makeover
The Buccaneers are exploring a $350 million overhaul of Raymond James Stadium, with upgrades that could include new seats, elevators, escalators, scoreboards and even some type of cover over the stadium. One of the biggest additions under consideration is “Buccaneers Cove,” a north-end gathering area with restaurants, bars and team stores.
The Bucs and Hillsborough County are still working through the details, including how the renovations would be funded, with an agreement targeted within three to five months. The upgrades could also help put Tampa in the running to host another Super Bowl.

The Hub at Bexley Has New Owners
Just as the Hub at Lexington is getting up and running, the Hub at Bexley has sold for $28.75 million, marking the largest retail property sale in Land O’ Lakes history. CenterSquare Investment Management purchased the roughly 50,000-square-foot dining and retail destination from Tampa-based Center Connect Development.
The Hub was fully leased at the time of the sale, with familiar spots like BellaBrava, Stillwaters Tavern, Taco Bus, Grain & Berry and Urban Crunch Creamery Café among its tenants. For regulars, this is an ownership change, not a redevelopment announcement, so The Hub’s restaurants, shops and gathering spaces aren’t going anywhere based on what’s been announced.

Meet USF’s New Uptown Landing
USF has broken ground on Uptown Landing, a nearly $500 million development coming to about 30 acres just north of Fletcher Avenue and east of North 46th Street. The first phase will bring 700 student housing beds, four to six restaurants, retail, a hotel and conference center, plus a major research building.
It’ll also sit within walking distance of USF’s new on-campus stadium, giving Bulls fans another place to eat, stay and gather on game days. The first phase is expected to open in time for fall 2028.

Pasco County Animal Services Presents: Mayor

Mayor (A050752) is a 6 year-old, 26 pound medium-sized neutered male who was found as a stray in. Mayor is adorable and a perfect size! We’re not sure where he’s been or what happened to him, but Mayor has a hard time warming up to people out of fear. The good news is that Mayor is part of PCAS’ Mutt Mentor program – Volunteer Danny has been working with Mayor to help him trust humans again. Through slow training and delicious treats, Mayor is beginning to relax a little, allows some pets, and even rode in Danny’s truck for a field trip. An ideal home for Mayor would be one where he can continue to receive TLC and some time to trust again.
