Whataburger Is Finally On the Way

According to Neighborhood News, Whataburger has officially started transforming the old Aussie Grill spot on Sierra Center Blvd., right between Walk-On’s and Bonefish Grill. The Lutz/Wesley Chapel location is aiming for a summer 2026 opening, with renovations underway and plans to hire 80 to 100 people. I think we’re finally ready for this.

Urban Crunch Is Coming to The Hub at Bexley

Urban Crunch is coming to The Hub at Bexley, bringing over-the-top milkshakes, colorful lattes, matcha, and a whole lineup of creative ice cream flavors that are basically made for selfies. If you want a shot at a $10 gift card when they open, just share what you’re most excited to try.

A New Brew Stop for Dade City

Good news, Dade City coffee fans: the popular drive-thru spot Ellianos Coffee is officially marked as “coming soon” at 12530 US Highway 301. If you’re picturing creamy lattes handed out through two service windows and a quick in-and-out coffee fix on your way to work, this is exactly it. Looks like our town’s next convenient caffeine stop is on the way.

Pasco County Animal Services Presents: Beefy King

Beefy King (A008479) is a 6 year old, 57-pound meatball looking for the other side of his Velcro! Beefy King loves being around people – so much so, that he has been notorious for being an escape artist to find his person. We’re talking 6 foot fence scaling acrobatics! But BK is a great dog who makes the cutest snorting sound when you pet him. This is his second stay at PCAS – the first in 2023, when he was found tied up outside the shelter. He made it back in as a stray in September, and his owner refused to answer our calls & messages. BK is also an office foster, where he chills out with our staff.

A New Home Depot is Coming to Town

A new Home Depot is planned for Cypress Creek Town Center in Lutz, bringing another major retailer to the fast-growing corridor.

Free Aquarium Passes Worth Sharing

Suncoast Credit Union just launched a pretty great perk for new members: a free annual membership for two to The Florida Aquarium when you open a basic $5 savings account and add one more product like checking or a credit card. This isn’t a paid plug from us, just something worth sharing if you’re looking for more family outings without spending much. Current members get perks too, including seasonal BOGO tickets to the Aquarium, MOSI, and ZooTampa, plus everyday conveniences like free ATMs at Publix and Wawa.

Florida Strawberry Festival 2026 Lineup Announced

Just a heads up since we’re all in the celebratory mood. The Florida Strawberry Festival has released its 2026 lineup, featuring big names like Alabama, Riley Green, Dierks Bentley, Lonestar, and The Offspring. Tickets go on sale December 11.
