Good Morning Neighbor! A few weeks ago we covered a loose pig in Zephyrhills, and now it’s happening again in Buffalo, where a runaway pig named Breakfast caused chaos before police and animal control caught up. Turns out, Breakfast belonged to a Buffalo officer and made a clean escape from his own yard. The name Breakfast is exactly what I was thinking; maybe it’s time we start paying these loose hogs their due.

The Sky’s No Limit
This was an easy choice for today’s feature. How impressive is this? Imagine if it were you, your mom, or your grandmother gearing up for one more jump.
At 86 years old, Kim Knor is on the brink of making history and proving that adventure has no expiration date. The former gold medalist from the first U.S. Women’s Parachute Team has now completed 999 skydives, with her 1,000th jump planned at Jump Florida Skydiving in Lake Wales.

Knor began skydiving back in 1959, even forging her parents’ signatures for her first leap. After decades away to raise her family, she returned to the sport she loves, visiting 90 drop zones across the country and inspiring a new generation of jumpers.
Her words say it all: “It’s never too late.”

Pasco Schools Open the Door to AI
We’ve talked about this before. How do we prepare the next generation for a world shaped by AI? What’s the right balance? Pasco County schools are officially stepping into the future. Superintendent John Legg says it’s time to embrace artificial intelligence as a learning tool rather than ignore it, starting with Microsoft Copilot in classrooms this December. Copilot is a great, secure resource for schools and companies.
Students will be allowed to use AI for certain tasks like grammar checks or brainstorming, as long as they label which parts were AI-assisted. Teachers can still decide when to keep things “old school.”

The goal, Legg says, is to help kids learn to think critically with technology, not rely on it, preparing them for a world where AI is already part of everyday life.
A Lifetime of Service, Right Here at Home
This is really cool and a very positive touch from Patch and T-Mobile, who are spotlighting veterans making a difference in their communities. One of the stories they shared features Wesley Chapel’s own VC Lindenmeyer, a West Point graduate, Black Hawk pilot, and leader who has dedicated his life to service both in uniform and as a civilian at MacDill Air Force Base.

His wife, Kelly, nominated him for the honor and described him perfectly with three words: poised, prepared, patriotic. After decades of serving his country, Lindenmeyer continues to lead with humility and heart right here at home.
Small-Town Spirit, Big-Time Growth in Zephyrhills
Tampa Bay 28 recently shared a great piece on how Main Street Zephyrhills is coming back to life. From Anthony Torres’ Nostalgia Pizza Shop to Epifana Feliciano’s soon-to-open sewing studio, small business owners are turning their dreams into reality and helping shape a lively, welcoming downtown.

Main Street Zephyrhills Director Antwan Gildon says the goal is to preserve the city’s history while embracing new growth. With major employers like Bauducco Foods moving in and more residents choosing to live and work locally, Zephyrhills is proving that hometown charm and fresh opportunity can grow together beautifully.
Helping Families Rebuild in Pasco County
10 Tampa Bay highlighted a new Pasco County housing assistance program aimed at helping families still recovering from Hurricanes Idalia, Helene, and Milton.
The county will provide funding to repair, rebuild, or replace homes damaged by the storms and is hosting six public meetings this month to help residents navigate the application process. The first session takes place November 18 at 6 p.m. at the J. Ben Harrill Recreation Complex in Holiday, a hands-on effort to get families back home and back on their feet.
